Modeling, Texturing and Rigging

I have done a great deal of weightpainting., and that means I have a reliable grasp of the best edgeflow and topology for a model. I can target specific polycounts and create mirrored UVs. I can create multiple LODs for your engine's optimization. I use Adobe Substance, Suites, Blender 3D, ZBrush and Unreal Engine.

2D Concepting in Photoshop and ZBrush

2D Illustration, Photobashing, compiling basic ZBrush sculpts... I am familiar with any and all of these methods for whipping up concept art. I can work with whatever way you want your project to be visualized.

World Building

I consider this a special skill in the industries of game development and writing because both tell stories and setting is a critical component to depicting a narrative. When I was a kid, I read more novels than I can count and fell in love with many fiction TV series. What I've appreciated most about a work of fiction is when the world is as rich as any character and functions much like one. We need lore to interact with in games. From cartography, to figuring out your planet's calendar, gravity, and meteorology, I have my ways of fleshing these things out efficiently and even keep it in line with real current scientific knowledge, if you wan!

Splat-Maps and Materials

Don't paint your entire natural terrain by hand. That sort of detailing is for the final stages. Terrain textures painted by me are as organic and intricate as you'd expect from nature, emulating fractal formulas that humans can't simulate, without having it. I don't need generative AI. My methods are equally fast and more specific/controlled. I strive to generate enough interactive fractal chaos that it doesn't look like it came right out of World Creator or World Machine. (Like you'll see in a lot of advertisements and TV). I've admired many rocks and natural patterns to be at home creating highly unique textures that scans and presets just won't give you outright. Let's create new worlds with satisfying and compelling textures!

Heightmap Creation

My unique pipeline has been complemented by real AAA level designers in the industry. It's a bit of a secret, but I will let you observe the progress of your commission. My goal is to push the art so it won't look procedural or generative in any way. And because I'm here to share with you what I'm proud of, I can say that I've extensively researched sediment, plant growth, and erosion properties to become familiar with how to layer textures for terrain, and I am genuinely proud of how I use these programs to great effect, for any media.

Animation

Animation

Though my career has seen me animate less than other areas of 3D, I excelled in my animation classes in school. It came to me naturally, and I'm able to get realistic and complex results without much difficulty. Even using forward-kinematics! I would love to have more portfolio pieces demonstrating my talents in this area.
